About the Cyber Events Database

Our Mission
The Cyber Events Database is maintained by the Center for Governance of Technology and Systems (GoTech) at the University of Maryland's School of Public Policy to provide timely, well-structured data that helps public and private sector actors better understand the cyber threat landscape.
By collecting and organizing publicly available information on cyber events from 2014 to the present, we enable organizations to make strategic decisions about how to invest scarce resources to prevent and respond to cyber threats.
